How to prepare an infusion:
As a general rule, use 1 liter of water for 2 tablespoons of herbal tea, but the amount will depend on each person's taste. For children, the dosage should be halved.
To prepare herbal teas, turn off the heat as soon as the water starts to boil, pour the hot water over the herbal tea, cover and leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes.
In the teapot you use to make the herbal tea, add some hot water to preheat it and discard the water. Place the herbal tea in the teapot and add the hot water, following the steps described above depending on the infusion. Strain and serve.
If you do not drink it immediately, you should always cover the infusions and add a few drops of lemon, so that they do not oxidize and lose some of their properties. You can store them in the fridge and drink them cold. The infusions must be consumed within the next 24 hours. After this time they begin to go through a fermentation process.
Avoid using sugar. Excess sugar and sweeteners interfere with the flavor and active ingredients of plants, compromising their benefits.
