Chestnut Roast Liqueur No. 2

Discover the most original way to celebrate a magusto.

Our Roasted Chestnut liqueur is made from a national variety of chestnut, the Colarinha, a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) from Marvão, characterised by its small cabilbre, which is very sweet and tasty. After roasting, to extract the smoky and subtly astringent flavour, the chestnuts are macerated for several months in high-quality brandy, thus providing a unique sensory experience.

The exterior colours of the box have been carefully chosen to reflect the essence of the liqueur contained in the bottle. Each shade has been designed to convey the liqueur's sensory notes and personality, providing a visual experience that anticipates the flavour you'll find when you open each bottle. And there's even room to tell a delicious story on the back of the box:

"Hot and good..." this is how the sale of roasted chestnuts in the Portuguese streets is billed. They are the protagonists of Magusto, a popular festival celebrated on 11 November, where, according to tradition, friends and family gather around the bonfire to cheerfully socialise. This celebration is associated with the legend of St Martin, a meritorious knight who cut his cloak in two to give it to a beggar. At that moment, the dark clouds disappeared and the sun came out, and the good weather lasted for three days."
